designQ is the interior design center for Qualico’s New Home Builders. Our team of Interior Designers are here to help clients achieve any look for their dream home. Not only do we help clients, but we conceptualize, design and create showhomes for our builders.
When clients do come to designQ they receive a 1 on 1 appointment with one of our Interior Designers and Cabinetry Designers to help them through every step. Our design center has everything you’ll need under one roof. This makes the process fun and easy!
In addition, we also help clients choose blinds and custom drapery to coordinate with their interior finishing’s.

The Design Center
Our design center is designed to mimic that of a true shopping experience. Your designer will take you store to store and guide you through the entire process. You even get your own shopping cart! There are a total of 8 stores, each with it’s own purpose and design.
All interior selection appointments are booked via our Client Care Coordinator, who will contact you to book your appointment. Appointments are held Monday – Friday. Your appointment will being at 8:45 AM and will, in most cases, run until 4:30 PM. The reason the appointment will last all day is because selecting all interior items for your home can be a big task! We request that you take the entire day to relax, and enjoy the process. There will be ample time for snack breaks, as well as time to enjoy the complimentary lunch provided.

The Kitchen Store
The Kitchen Store is the typically the first stop for all of our clients. In this store you will meet with a Cabinetry Designer from Gem Cabinets to discuss the kitchen in your home. Here you can choose to change the layout of your kitchen & bathrooms and select the color and species of cabinets.
Additionally in the Kitchen Store, you will select the countertops for your home and cabinet hardware.
We have many different options on display, including 5 full kitchen displays. You can touch, feel and dream about how you want your next kitchen to look.
The Flooring Store
The next stop in your design appointment will be the Flooring Store. While most of the selections you make in this store are flooring related, you will also select any tile options in your home. This could include items such as the kitchen backsplash, fireplace surround, shower tile, and so on. There are many different options to choose from as well as various install patterns.
Additionally in this store you will have the chance to view our carpet wall display and select the coziest option for your family!
The Finishing Store
Once you have selected the main items for your home – cabinetry and flooring – you can move on to the finishing details! In the Finishing Store you will choose your interior doors & hardware, baseboards & casing, ceiling textures and even drywall corners!
If you are wanting to add railing into your home, we have many different styles, colors and patterns on display including the most recent addition of horizontal railing. Finish up by adding shelving or maybe a custom closet organizer and then you are onto the next stop!
The Plumbing Store
The final store at your interior design appointment is the Plumbing Store. This store is all about the shine. Here you are able to choose which kitchen & bathroom faucets you would like as well as the finish. Don’t forget about the sinks and pottery options too.
Even though you may have selected the tile surround options for your showers, you can still choose to add in additional items to them such as handheld shower heads, body sprays and more.
